Donor Engagement Officer

Reports to: Chief Donor Engagement Officer

Salary Range: Negotiable, depending on experience and qualifications

Hours: Full Time

Number of Employees Supervised: None

Role: The Donor Engagement Officer is responsible for cultivating and soliciting new donors. This position will manage a portfolio of donors and be required to meet metrics as determined by the Chief Donor Engagement Officer. The Donor Engagement Officer will also be responsible for managing our women’s giving circle Handbags that Help.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • 60% of time - Donor Cultivation
    • Identify potential donors to attract new funds to the Foundation.
    • Work with current donors to grow their involvement with the Foundation by creating new funds or establishing a planned gift.
    • Manage a portfolio of donors.
  • 30% of time - Handbags That Help
    • Represent the Foundation at all Guiding Circle, Membership, and sub-committee meetings.
    • Maintain financials, reports and grant files for the group.
    • Cultivate members to grow their support of HTH and the Foundation.
  • 10% of time - Administrative
    • Maintain donor contacts in database.
    • Coordinate with Chief Donor Engagement officer on fund agreements and planned gift declaration documents.

And other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Certifications/Licensure: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; fundraising certification and/or CFRE a plus.

Experience: Three to five years of fundraising experience or other relevant experience.

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to build relationships, manage committees or groups, present to groups, detail oriented, organized and accountable.
