How does the Foundation calculate and assess fees?
Each year the Finance and Investment Committee reviews the fee schedule and recommends revisions as needed. The Foundation charges an administrative fee of 1% (2% for scholarships) of the average market value of the fund for the twelve trailing quarters ending September 30 of the previous year.
What if my client wants to start a fund, but doesn’t have all the money up front?
We understand the desire to start a fund but needing more time to come up with the capital. We created a Seed Fund program, which gives donors three years to raise sufficient funds to reach full endowment. For more, see this page.
What is the Foundation’s spending policy?
Our spending policy is 4.5% of the fund balance averaged over 12 rolling quarters.
