Tamara Luchini established two funds for the benefit of Hancock County. Tamara, originally from Ashland, met her late husband John at the University of Michigan. They moved to Findlay when John took a job at Cooper Tire & Rubber, where he was employed for 34 years.

The John and Tamara Luchini Fund for the Common Good honors Hancock County's strengths and will support its growth by adding to our Community's Endowment. "Moving to town in 1977 after our college years, ready to settle down and begin our 'adult' lives, my husband and I quickly became aware of the unique environment that was our new home," said Tamara. "We recognized the contributions and sacrifices of those who came before us helped build the solid foundation of city and county, creating a good place for us to live, work and raise our family. In gratitude for the blessings from the past that benefitted us, we hoped, in our turn, to bless future residents of Findlay and Hancock County as community needs evolve."

Tamara worked as the Development Director for St. Michael's Parish and also provided in-home childcare. She is a classical pianist who enjoys literature, gardening and needlework. John was active in the performing arts community, the library and the Red Cross. He also was involved in several tire engineering-related committees. The couple has five children. In honor of John's passion for the arts, Tamara also created the John and Tamara Luchini Fund for the Performing Arts. This fund will support the Fort Findlay Playhouse.
