Mr. Thomas E. Moore was born in Lima, Ohio on January 23, 1943. Both Thomas and Patricia Moore attended Lincoln Elementary, Donnell Junior High and graduate in the 1960 Findlay High School Class. They established this scholarship to benefit a Findlay High School senior because of their fond memories of this community. Thomas was the Vice President of multiple financial institutions and finally retired in 2003 from Morgan Stanley. Mr. Moore gave the scholarship to Findlay because of his fond memories of a great community including playing little league, eating Dietsch’s and Wilsons, and returning to Findlay to visit family.

This renewable scholarship is for a Findlay High School senior with financial need.

Standard for Determining Eligibility of Students

  • The student must be a Findlay High School graduating senior who will pursue a four-year undergraduate degree as a full-time student at an accredited college or university.
  • The student must have financial need.
  • While there is no specific grade point average the student must have demonstrated success in high school by passing all of the required courses to document their capacity to further their education successfully.
  • Students who receive full scholarship support from other organizations or institutions will not be considered for this scholarship.
