Steffen Family Scholarship

This scholarship is created in honor of John N. Steffen and his siblings who graduated from Miller City-­New Cleveland High School: John N. Steffen graduated in 1962, Jeanette Steffen Meyer (1960), James Steffen (1966), Teresa Steffen Hermiller (1967), and Thomas Steffen (1969). They are the children of Norbert and Leona (Eiden) Steffen, high school sweethearts, married 70 years.

Standards for Determining Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a graduating senior of Miller City-New Cleveland High School.
  • GPA range of 2.5 -3.5.
  • The applicant must plan to be a full-time student enrolled at an accredited four-year, two-year, or technical institution.
  • Applicant must be a citizen of the United States.
  • Preference for students planning to attend the University of Findlay.
  • Financial need is a consideration, but not a requirement.
  • Any student who receives a full scholarship that includes all the fees normally payable by policy of The Community Foundation will not qualify for this Scholarship.
