Roy R. Schwinn lived in Hancock County Ohio for nearly 80 years before his passing in 2019. Roy worked for the Clerk of Courts, then Cooper Tire for more than 40 years. He managed rentals and farmed the homestead. Roy graduated from Rawson High School and Bliss College.

This scholarship was established by Roy Schwinn through his estate plan to benefit a graduating senior from Cory Rawson High School who will major in agriculture or business.

Standards for Determining Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a graduating senior of Cory Rawson High School.
  • The applicant must plan to be a part or full-time student enrolled at an accredited university, college, technical school, or community college in Ohio.
  • The applicant must plan to major in Agriculture and/or Business.
  • The applicant must have maintained a 3.0 GPA or above while in high school.
  • The applicant must demonstrate hard work and display some job experience.
  • The applicant must demonstrate good moral character.
  • The applicant must have demonstrated good attendance while in high school.
  • The applicant must have NO criminal record.
  • Applicant must be a resident of Hancock County and a citizen of the United States of America.
  • Financial need is a requirement
  • Students who receive full tuition scholarship support from other organizations or institutions will not be considered for this scholarship.
