Kyle P. Luginbuhl (1983-2004)

This scholarship is in loving memory and honor of Kyle Luginbuhl, son of Phil and Deb Luginbuhl. Kyle graduated from Bluffton High School in 2001. While at BHS, he was an honor student active in Baseball, Basketball, and Football. He was an exchange student in the Netherlands his Junior year. Kyle went on to pursue his education at Ohio University majoring in aviation engineering. While at OU, Kyle received his pilot’s license and spent his junior year in Australia. Kyle was a member of Ebenezer Mennonite Church.

Standards for Determining Eligibility

• The applicant must be a graduating senior of Bluffton High School.
• The applicant must plan to be attending an accredited two or four year college or university.
• All majors will be considered, preference shall be given to students pursuing a major in the field of engineering.
• The applicant must have maintained a cumulative 3.0 GPA or above while in high school/the most recently completed grading period.
• The applicant must demonstrate integrity and excellent character.
• Any student who receives a full scholarship that includes all of the fees normally payable by policy of The Community Foundation will not qualify for this scholarship.
