Charles and Mariann Younger established this scholarship for North Clay High School in memory of Charles’ parents, George Randolph and Harriet Jacobs Younger. George worked for the Kroger Company for 32 years and later owned and operated an IGA grocery store. He was instrumental in organizing and building the Louisville Community Park and sponsored youth baseball and softball teams for a number of years. George served as President of the Louisville Rotary Club, was a 32nd Degree Mason, and enjoyed fishing, reading, travel, working around the home and youth activities. George and Harriet were members of the United Methodist Church and an integral part of the Louisville, Illinois community—and this scholarship serves to honor them.
