In January, The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation started Fun for All, a series of free community events, to provide affordable, family-friendly activities and have fun. We have been blown away at the popularity of these events, having more than 3,000 participants in the last six months. Together, we’ve enjoyed activities at 50 North, ice skating at The Cube, a movie and live concert at Marathon Center for the Performing Arts, 4th of July fireworks, playtime at the Children’s Museum, and more.

And we’re just getting started.

Because of partnerships with amazing local nonprofit organizations and generous donors, we have more of these free family activities scheduled for the rest of the year. This summer, you’ll be able to enjoy: free admission days at each of the public pools in Hancock County (located in Mt. Blanchard, McComb, Arlington, and Findlay); more free play days at the Children’s Museum; a variety of free activities at 50 North; free boat rentals several days at Riverside Landing; Puppy Pals, a stunt dog show at MCPA; and more.

These activities are meaningful to our community and we’re proud to offer them. Fun for All is a direct response to what you shared with us during Community Conversations. But more than that research tells us pro-social activities are critical to overall health and wellness, including physical and mental health. We also know there’s an incredible benefit to coming together as a community. We’re at our strongest when we work together, and having fun together makes working together that much better.

If you’ve already attended one of the Fun for All Activities – thank you. We hope you’ll join us again this summer. If you haven’t attended a Fun for All event yet, please join us in having some free fun. Click here for the full schedule.
