Established 2003  A native of Lima, Ohio he was a graduate of Lima Senior High and Lima Business College and served his county in the US Army from 1942-1947.  Paul Barrett recruited him to work for Marathon Oil Company in 1937.  He worked at Marathon Oil for 45 years in a variety of roles under the leadership of J.C. Donnell, former Marathon Oil president.  He attended First Christian Church, Findlay and was a member of the Ohio Educational Club at Marathon, Elks Club, American Legion and VFW.  Just as TCF has fulfilled the dreams of Mr. Dorney by establishing a community foundation in Hancock County and funded many worthwhile projects, so will we honor this generous gift from Mr. Countryman.   George left this generous gift to our community as part of his estate.
