Findlay Service League's Make a Difference Day connects donors with the Hancock County Student Hygiene Access Initiative. Locally, more than 3,500 students across 14 schools rely on access to essential menstrual hygiene products. School personnel report ongoing unmet needs and inconsistent access to supplies for students who need them.
Access to these resources helps students:
- Stay in class
- Reduce stress and embarrassment
- Maintain confidence and dignity
- Participate fully in their education
On Make a Difference Day, financial and product donations are collected to support students in Hancock County schools. Findlay Service League volunteers assemble hygiene kits containing essential menstrual products and other items that help students meet basic personal needs. Since the program began, more than 2,300 kits have been distributed to local schools.
As the program grows, Findlay Service League is working to expand support beyond hygiene kits. Future efforts may include providing clothing, storage cabinets and other resources that help schools maintain a reliable, discreet supply of essential items for students.
This fund supports Findlay Service League's Make a Difference Day project, helping provide hygiene products, clothing and other basic necessities that enable local students to attend school with confidence, dignity and the resources they need to succeed.
