Nonprofit Outreach

The Community Foundation recognizes that while we are a resource, the nonprofits in our community are the boots-on-the-ground life-changers in our community.

We are dedicated to strengthening and assisting those organizations in any way possible.

Schneider Circle

One of the many ways we work directly with nonprofits is Schneider Circle.

These 24 agencies were chosen through a competitive process. They have a proven record of excellence and potential to significantly improve the quality of life in Hancock County. The organizations represent a variety of sectors: social service, the arts, health, youth service, and recreation.

The two-year initiative created a cohort in which the Foundation provided training, forums, coaching and more.

The Community Foundation is pleased to offer a regular rotation of national experts who come to our offices to meeting one-on-one with local agencies. They offer coaching in a number of areas, including but not limited to: fundraising, governances, leadership and outreach.

These coachings are offered on a regular basis, with flexible schedules, for any 501(c)(3) organization serving Hancock County.

The Community Foundation administers 400+ charitable funds that grant to nonprofit organizations. Contact our Program Department to start the grant writing process.
