Beth Bradley Heck Memorial Scholarship
Beth Bradley
Heck, a native of Urbana and a graduate of Bowling Green State
University, married James R. "Jim" Heck in 1986. Beth was the
owner and CEO of Kennedy Printing in Findlay, Ohio and had
previously taught in the Carey school system from 1968-1972.
She had been active in many organizations and community
projects: Findlay-Hancock County Chamber of Commerce Board;
United Way of Hancock County Board and President; Family Service
Board; Findlay Rotary Club Board, becoming the first female
President; University of Findlay Board; BGSU Foundation Board;
Findlay Arts Partnership Board and President; Sky Bank Board
(Ohio Bank Region); Hancock County Chapter of the Red Cross
Board; Junior Achievement Board; Hancock Properties Foundation
Board for the Family Center: Hancock Leadership graduate. She
was also named the 2000 Female Entrepreneur of the Year, and had
received the Athena Award, March of Dimes Community Service
Award and the Small Business of the Year Award from the Findlay
Chamber.
Beth often said
"I picked my parents well, married a good man, had the best
daughter (Kristin Heck Sajadi) anyone could ask for and am
blessed with a granddaughter, Sarah Grace." Beth's wonderful
smile, exceptional wit and spirit will be greatly missed by all
who knew and loved her.
The scholarship
is dedicated to all young women who work hard to fulfill their
dreams, show dedication to the task at hand and who show
kindness toward all.
Standards for
Determining Eligibility

The
applicant must be a female graduate from a state-chartered
high school located in Hancock County.

The
applicant must plan to be a full-time student enrolled at an
accredited university or college.

The
applicant must demonstrate good citizenship and attendance.

The
applicant must have participated in and shown leadership
qualities in school and community activities. Primary
consideration will be given to well-rounded students.

The
applicant must have maintained a 3.0 GPA or above while in
high school.

Applicant
must be a resident of Hancock County.

Financial
need is a requirement.

Students
who receive a full scholarship support from other
organizations or institutions will not be considered for
this scholarship.
Scholarship
Application Forms will be available
February 1 - April 1 each year.
